About

My art career began at 5 years with my first oil painting at my Mother’s side. I went from oils to acrylics to fine line expression and by the time I was 15 I had developed a love for photography. I completed a course at the Art Institute of Westport, CT and was a commercial art major at Baylor University in Waco, TX before joining the Air Force in 1965. I was an Air Force Illustrator and ran the Photo Hobby Shop exploring experimental photography, winning 3 awards at the AF Worldwide Photo Competition. My greatest admiration was always the National Geographic and Life Magazine photographers and now National Geographic hosts a gallery of mine.

For the last 30 plus years, I’ve been a part-time cab driver in San Francisco which has afforded me innumerable views and the opportunity to shoot the entirety of this incredible city.

Some of my work is represented by Xanado Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ.  Please visit that site for more details.
